As usual, the term started with a brief explanation of what the module is all about. I was told by the tutor that the subject requires me to produce two projects, a minor and a major one. The minor project comprises of two small tasks which are, first, Map a journey and secondly, Create a data visualization.
I was then told to get myself familiarized with all the software/website that will be used for the task. After a few hours of browsing through the Internet, I have found some websites that might be useful. Here they are.
| This website Web 2.0: Cool Tools for Schools is very useful. It lists down several mapping tools websites that might come in handy for my project |
| Mapskip is a very interesting website. It allows you to tag a location and upload videos/photos and stories about that particular location. |
| I've found quite a lot of data visualization website but i think that Manyeyes is the easiest to access. |
| Map-Generator is very useful if you're looking for something that allows you to map a journey.
